渡鸦--是最聪明的鸟类在《圣经》中扮演叼开耶稣裹尸布的角色，代表着自由。渡鸦在进行着的，是另外的一种歌唱：智慧与灵感的歌唱，青春与灵魂的回响，摇滚与电子的碰撞。。。

渡鸦的音乐充斥着青春的张力，鲜明的个性，快乐的浮想联翩而又不乏成熟与回味。在不同 的地点不同时间不同形式的演出中，"渡鸦"的出现总能给人眼前一亮的惊喜。在"渡鸦"的音乐 中，你可以听到TRIP-HOP BRIT-POP等种种音乐元素的巧妙结合，简约而不简单。

渡鸦乐队履历:

1996年 "兼容"乐队成立.开始进行系统的排练.成员:意紫 小溪 刘俞 关禹

1997年 “兼容”乐队更名“罂粟花” 成员:意紫 小溪 刘瑜 刘玉祥

1997年 “罂粟花”乐队开始演出与"夜叉""敏感之花"等同时代乐队在北京进行演出。
 
1998年 “罂粟花”乐队休整 进行封闭式排练。

1999年 “罂粟花”乐队正式更名“渡鸦”。成员:意紫 小溪 刘瑜 韩鹏

1999年 “渡鸦”乐队开始疯狂演出 并于年底去西安进行巡回演出.

2000年 “渡鸦”乐队签约"滚石"唱片 发表单曲《最后的晚餐》

2000年 “渡鸦”乐队筑场 "豪运"酒吧 "忙锋"酒吧.

2001年 “渡鸦”乐队进行休整 准备推出第一张专集.并于七月份去杭州进行巡回演出.

2001年 “渡鸦”乐队签约"香港金马"唱片.由于种种原因 与公司解约.

2002年 “渡鸦”乐队先后接受各大媒体采访,包括CHANEL [V] 凤凰卫视等

2002年 “渡鸦”乐队正式签约回授唱片 并于年底发表第一张专集《生理盐水》

2003年 “渡鸦”乐队与公司无条件解约 同时乐队解散。

2003年 “渡鸦”乐队重组.并录制完第二张专集的demo.成员:意紫 小溪 乔玮 潘雨辰 刘佳。

2004年 “渡鸦”乐队参加了04MIDI音乐节，引起极大反响。

2004年 “渡鸦”乐队在《吉他平方》杂志发表单曲《流血》，《我爱摇滚乐》杂志发表单曲《甭过》。
 
2005年 “渡鸦”乐队与福声唱片合作 准备发表第二张专辑。

2005年 “渡鸦”乐队的第二张专辑《拾月》正式发行，同时也标志着渡鸦乐队再次进入一个丰收的季节。

2005年 “渡鸦”乐队参加了05MIDI音乐节，再次得到广大乐迷的认同与喜爱。

2006年 “渡鸦”乐队在"合炫音乐工厂"酒吧.演出后.乐队解散。潘雨辰 刘佳.离队。

2007年 “渡鸦”乐队重组.乐队成员:意紫/小溪/喜子/乔玮/大伟/大磊。

2007年 “渡鸦”乐队年底开始录制第三张DEMO 。

2008年 “渡鸦”乐队成员:意紫/小溪/小锋/乔玮/姬伟/大磊。

The Raven is a Beijing-based band.
Their songs are mixed with Britpop, Trip hop, and Indie rock styles.

The Raven, which may make you recall American poet Edgar Allen Poe's work. The poem The Raven has a rather dreary and melancholy beauty. But the band's music is much brighter and cheerful.
When asked why they call themselves with this name, the band says that The Raven is not only the largest member of the crow family, but also regarded as the most intelligent. Long the subject of superstition and legend, ravens can actually survive in many of world's harshest conditions. More importantly, the image of ravens flying high up in the sky with eagles gives the band a strong sense of bravery and freedom. All these images are what they want to reflect in their songs.

They are not a new comer to the current music scene in China.
This year, The Raven is going to celebrate its 12th birthday.

Several years ago they used to call themselves Poppy Flower.
And they changed their name to The Raven when they released their debut album "Brine" in 2002.

During 2004 MIDI music festival, The Raven left deep impression to many people. And a local record shop Free Sound Records offered to finance the band's recordings and released the album as their agent.

And in 2005 MIDI music festival, fans of The Raven not only had a chance to enjoy the band's live performance, but also received their second album-"October".

During the year 2006, for some reasons, the band temporarily broke up for about one year. But the band has never really forsaken their musical pursuits.

In 2007, The Raven settled on their quintet lineup and resumed their live shows in public again.
And they started to make a demo record at the end of last year.

12 years have been passed. The Raven never stops their flying for the pursuit of freedom.
After 3 years, The Raven come back to MIDI music festival again.
